As per the Government policies of Nepal, Manaslu Trekking is classified as a restricted area of Nepal. Since some villages in the Manaslu region shares a border with Tibet, Nepal government has declared the Manaslu Region (between Jagat and Dharapani) as a restricted to control tourism in the region. Thus, you need a special permit called a restricted area permit to trek around Manaslu Circuit.:
